Team Rwanda Cycling's debut UK tour has begun!

Day 1 consisted of kit check, bike building, team briefings and very importantly, getting the bikes dialled in for the riders.

Frames are back from the custom-spraying, components all arrived. Let the build begin!

Dassi Bikes HQ in Hook in Hampshire (click HERE for more information on Dassi) was taken over on Friday by Team Rwanda Cycling and 'Team Rwanda - Dassi' was born. Consisting of a team of four of our up-and-coming riders, Team Rwanda - Dassi is our first ever UK tour and we will be racing eleven races in 4 weeks. More information on the tour HERE.

As each bike was built, it was important to then ensure the relevant rider's position and bike set-up was correct. At this point, the guys at Vankru Cycling stepped in with their expert bike fitting technology and knowledge. Garth Kruger who leads Vankru worked with each rider to ensure their position was perfect and they could deliver optimum performance.

After the bikes were finally built, using world-class componentry from our sponsors (and our team car returned from the nearby custom graphics company!), we had time for a quick photo with Dassi CEO, Stuart Abbott. Stuart is thrilled to be involved: “We are proud to support such an inspirational team who echo the values of our very British brand: Passion, performance and excellence. I am excited to see how this young and developing group of riders perform against the best professional riders in the UK.”
