Rwanda National Championships yield fastest male and female riders for 2016!

The Rwandan pro riders of Team Dimension Data dominated the Men's ITT at the Rwanda National Championships yesterday on the 40.6k course in Nyamata.

Adrien Niyonshuti arrived back in Rwanda earlier this week after racing at the Tour de Suisse for his team. He became national ITT champion after completing the course in 54'17", 2'35" ahead of his team-mate Valens Ndayisenga, who just edged out Bonaventure Uwizeyimana into third place by just 5 seconds. Full results can be found HERE

In the Women's ITT, Team Rwanda Cycling's first female pro rider, Jeanne d'Arc Girubuntu, wins the National Champion title on the 22.8km course, living up to her #fastestwomaninafrica name! Full results can be found HERE
