Vuelta a Colombia is a punishing 1,700km+ 13-stage race across one of South America's most challenging countries.

Rwanda Cycling's young stalwarts Joseph Alleluya and Camera Hakuzimana reached the end of Stage 13 in the Vuelta a Colombia despite 2 crashes each and battling a stomach bug that wiped out 3 of their teammates a week into the race!

These guys were the only riders to go 100% from start to finish of all the international teams invited, finishing 71st and 85th respectively in the general classification which bears testimony to the grit and potential of Rwandese athletes against the worlds best. Also with only 102 finishers out of 155 starters, the races shedding itself a full third of it's participants speaks to the level of difficulty this Vuelta holds.

As Team Rwanda Cycling turns towards home, we do so savoring the honor of representing Rwanda in this beautiful country with hopes that our performance during these two weeks earns us the invitation to build on our experience in the next edition of the Vuelta a Colombia.
