Famous Rwanda film-maker Faustin Niyigena has just released a 20 minute film about the life of Rwanda's first ever female rider
Early May 2016 saw the release of a ground-breaking film about Rwanda's first ever female pro cyclist - Jeanne d'Arc Girubuntu - and her story so far. Rwandan director Faustin Niyigena made the film and followed Jeanne d'Arc to tell her story to the world. Nicknamed the #fastestwomaninafrica following her amazing performance in the 2016 All Africa Championships, Jeanne d'Arc is at the forefront of women's cycling in Africa.
Following launch, the film then had its worldwide premiere at the famous Spin London Cycling Festival (May 2016) and will also be featured at both the Edinburgh Festival of Cycling (June 2016) and the Bike - Festival of Cycling (July 2016).
